I have used batteries from other well-known suppliers, including Amazon, but none have been as reliable and well-built as the batteries from Electrify Bike Co. I particularly appreciate four features of their batteries:\n1. The heavier case and the strong lugs that hold the battery to the mount cradle. I have had these lugs break off on two other name brand batteries until I had to attach the batteries to the cradle with bungee cords.\n2. The XT90 connector. I use the Bafang BBSHD motors on all my conversions for myself and friends. I have electrified five recumbent trikes and four bikes. It was always a hassle because the motors, the batteries and extension cables had different connectors. I always had to go out on the internet and search for various adaptors. Electrify Bike has made conversions so much cleaner and easier because the battery, motor and cable extensions they provide all come with the XT90 connectors. My most recent conversion was on an Azub Ti-Fly 26 recumbent trike. I used the Electrify Bike Bafang kit, battery and cable extension and it was the easiest and most trouble-free conversion I have done. \n3. You can order mount cradles separately. The other suppliers require you to buy a whole new battery.\n4. Electrify Bike Co. is the only company I have found that you can get adaptors for the various types of battery charging ports. With the other suppliers, you are stuck using their inferior charger, that comes with the battery, or having to wire your own adaptor from an XT60.\nMy only source is now Electrify Bike Co.

I just took my IBIS Ripley AF fitted with a CYC Photon kit for it's first ride this morning - 28 miles, 6000 feet of climbing on a dirt road. the bike made me feel 10 years younger. It behaved just like I hoped it would. I used mostly level 1 & 2 in street mode and consumed one bar on my 52 volt 14Ah battery. Over a 7 mile climb the motor temp did not exceed 120F with ambient temps in the mid 70s. Before conversion the bike weighed 33 lbs. After conversion, 50 lbs.\n\nIt's an easy build once you have the correct bike. Read the directions read the directions and watch a couple of YouTube videos. If you are installing the CYC Photon, LOOK AT YOUR BIKE and make sure your frame's BB thickness is within tolerance. Make sure there are no obstructions like welded ISCG mounts. Will your driveside (right) chainstay interfere with the motor's chainwheel beyond what can be corrected with spacers? \n\nThe pre-sales support at ElectrifyBike was excellent. I had a lot of newbie questions and ElectrifyBike was very responsive and patient with me. They also handled a parts exchange quickly with no trouble. I’d highly recommend them.

The cells are mounted more structurally sound within a honeycomb lattice. The case and mount tabs are thicker, and the case is reinforced with an internal lattice. The mini 3-pin charge port is much stronger and an on-off switch has been added.

Removable battery locks to down tube for security. This sleek battery packs over 700 watt-hours into a tight and attractive package. That is 200 watt-hours more than Bosch or Yamaha. I just took my IBIS Ripley AF fitted with a CYC Photon kit for it's first ride this morning - 28 miles, 6000 feet of climbing on a dirt road. the bike made me feel 10 years younger. It behaved just like I hoped it would. I used mostly level 1 & 2 in street mode and consumed one bar on my 52 volt 14Ah battery. Over a 7 mile climb the motor temp did not exceed 120F with ambient temps in the mid 70s. Before conversion the bike weighed 33 lbs. After conversion, 50 lbs.\n\nIt's an easy build once you have the correct bike. Read the directions read the directions and watch a couple of YouTube videos. If you are installing the CYC Photon, LOOK AT YOUR BIKE and make sure your frame's BB thickness is within tolerance. Make sure there are no obstructions like welded ISCG mounts. Will your driveside (right) chainstay interfere with the motor's chainwheel beyond what can be corrected with spacers? \n\nThe pre-sales support at ElectrifyBike was excellent. I had a lot of newbie questions and ElectrifyBike was very responsive and patient with me. They also handled a parts exchange quickly with no trouble. I’d highly recommend them.
